Modular system design Feller Engineering’s decades of experience in the field of temperature control technology form the basis for the FP1600 multi-channel temperature control system. Continuous further development in response to customer requirements has resulted in a high-performance system that can be adapted to a wide variety of applications thanks to its modularity. Depending on the task at hand, various central units as well as input and output modules are available, which are simply connected together on a top-hat rail with bus adapters.  Communication At the heart of every application is the central unit with a processor for up to 128 control loops and communication interfaces for higher-level systems. As standard, the system offers RS485 and Ethernet for networking several controllers, for remote diagnostics via the integrated web server or for coupling to the higher-level visualization system Visual Fecon for convenient parameterization and visualization. A further variant also has a real-time Ethernet interface with the PROFINET and Sercos III protocols, allowing the multi-channel controllers to be connected to automation systems.  Variety of modules The list of available modules shows the diversity of the control system. The system can be individually configured with the following snap-on modules:

  • 16x thermocouples
  • 16x PT100 2W
  • 8x PT100 3/4W
  • 32x 24VDC inputs and outputs
  • Heating current monitoring

Powerful control functions Thanks to its powerful control functions, the system can be used in a wide variety of applications. The most important functions are

  • Self-optimization of the control parameters
  • Short-circuit-proof outputs for controlling solid-state relays
  • Heating current monitoring
  • Combined heating
  • Energy-saving heating
  • Limiter function
  • Grouped switching of the outputs
  • Floating alarm outputs
  • WebServer for remote diagnosis
  • Event logging on SD card
